It was a tough night of sleep the night before, so Wednesday was a bit tough in the morning, but progressed into a better day. We worked on prep for a special birthday lunch for Sunday. It is for 20 people and we made lamb ragu, potato flan, and pulled some chocolate cake for future decorating.
Siesta again, naptime! We were home for a little less time than normal, but it was alright because I still had enough time to take a little nap. We came back into work and joined the few guys from pizza class in making Suppli. It is like a rice roll that is breaded and deep fried. We made roughly 100 of them, and took us well into service time. Drew had the day off, so he made a late family meal.
Francesco has been wooing a gal from AZ, so he spent most of his evening chatting her up. It was time for me to catch up on a few pages from my Bacon book, almost done, so close.
We closed work and went with chef to Vin Cafe for a glass of wine after work. It has been a cold and rainy day, so it was nice to get out of chef clothes and have a break from it all over a nice glass of wine. We talked with chef and he is planning a 20 day trip to the states in March. This is coming up very quickly and we also have 2 new inters coming too. The time is starting to go by a bit faster here and before I know it, both Melaine and my mom will be here for a visit! How exciting!
